QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN 

North American Tea & Coffee Inc. is a busy food manufacturing company seeking a well-organized and self-motivated individual for the position of Quality Control Technician.   

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Control Technician is key in ensuring the production process meets superior quality standards from entry of raw materials into the facility, to the processing of goods, to shipment of finished product. 

 The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented, will demonstrate an ability to cope well under pressure and is flexible to work day, afternoon, and graveyard shifts as assigned.

 Key functions of this role include: 

  • Conducting product sampling before, during, and after the manufacturing process as per standard operating procedures.
  • Ensuring day-to-day manufacturing practices meet accepted quality standards.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation related to Quality Control activities.
  • Following Good Manufacturing Practices and leading by example.

Qualifications 

  • Some knowledge of GMP and HACCP concepts.
  • Superior communication and customer service skills. 
  • Excellent decision-making and time-management skills.
  • Post secondary education or related Quality Assurance experience.

TEA MACHINE TECHNICIAN 

North American Tea & Coffee is a well-established manufacturer and distributor of branded and private label food products.  We are experiencing rapid growth and have immediate openings for 5 Tea Machine Technicians at our facility in Toronto, Ontario.

 Successful candidates are self-motivated with exceptional technical and problem-solving skills.  In addition, will thrive in this team-based environment under limited supervision and will be available to work any shift including weekends and holidays as required.
 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Install and repair, and maintain new and existing tea bagging machinery in a fast paced line production environment.
  • Follow a preventative maintenance program.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and process control programs.

 

Knowledge & Skills Requirements

 

  • Applicable trade certifications from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalent field experience of at least 5+ years in the maintenance and repair of IMA or Constanta machines
  • Pneumatic, electrical, electro-mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic machinery
  • Troubleshooting PLCs
  • Welding and parts fabrication
